Titan in Central Park

There’s a calm dignity about Titan that you feel the moment you meet him. Black and brown, with a graying muzzle and gentle eyes, he’s one of those dogs who seem to know exactly what matters most: food, a sunny spot to rest, and the people who show up for him every day.

On a bright summer morning in Central Park, Titan rolled up in style… literally! With a little help from his stroller, and with Garrett and Ivory at his side, he was ready to enjoy the city in his own way. Titan’s been through a lot. He’s a little blind, a little deaf, and arthritis makes walking tough, but that hasn’t dimmed his spirit. Instead, he seems to savor the world with quiet appreciation, taking everything in at his own pace.

We found plenty of grassy patches and shade, and Titan made himself comfortable, paws draped over the edge of his stroller, ears perked for every passing sound. Garrett and Ivory were never far, always ready with a gentle word or a reassuring hand.

Titan was definitely happy to sample as many treats as possible throughout the morning. He took everything in from his stroller, calmly observing the world while Garrett and Ivory walked alongside him. The three of them moved through the park together. No rush, just a quiet sort of togetherness that was easy to enjoy.

Photographing Titan was a reminder that some of the best memories are made in the slow moments: a patch of sun, a soft breeze, familiar faces close by. There’s a lot of love between Titan, Garrett, and Ivory, and it comes through in every little gesture.

By the time we wrapped up, it felt like Titan had made Central Park his own. No running required. Sometimes, the best days are the simple ones with a few good friends, a favorite spot, and time well spent together.
